Martin studied fine art at Reading, but has only returned to painting in the last decade. he now works from his garden studio in Penzance. Several years ago he moved from watercolours to work exclusively in oils, which has allowed his work to become bolder, looser and more painterly, without losing its characteristic qualities of strong composition, luscious clour and well observed form.
