Terms & Conditions

A provisional booking can be held for two weeks, then a £200 deposit will be payable to secure your reception date. Please note that events on a Friday or Saturday night will be subject to minimum numbers. From June through to September evening celebrations will only be available if the wedding party fills the hotel for 2 days.

The balance of the estimated total becomes payable to the Hotel, one week before the date of your wedding at the time of confirmation of final numbers.

Any outstanding balance will be invoiced to you directly after the event, with payment requested within our normal two-week terms.

Generally, all associated accommodation bookings for your wedding guests must be confirmed in writing at the time of securing the reception date, and a deposit of £10 per room paid (especially important for exclusive use of the Hotel).  The final accommodation charge payable on departure.

All rates quoted are inclusive of VAT.
Please note a service charge of 10% will be added to your bill.

Meals for children under 10 are charged at half the adult rate.
Children under the age of 3 are free of charge.

The numbers attending your reception should be estimated when the provisional booking is made at the Hotel.  We require a minimum figure one month in advance followed by an exact number seven days before the event.

We ask for your understanding that these will then be the minimum numbers that will be charged for on the day and the account for these numbers becomes payable at this time.
Please note that the menus are subject to minimum numbers.  Smaller events may be priced individually

Cancellation

We hope that it wont happen of course, but If you have to cancel your reception the following charges become payable:

Cancellation with more than six months notice – deposit retained by the hotel
(Except for room deposits, which will be refunded).

Cancellation with less than six months notice – deposit and any other payments.


What type of reception are you considering?

To make your selection for your function

1. Decide on your numbers, this will dictate the location of your function.  For intimate dinner parties or smaller family celebrations with up to 24 guests the Bramwell or Davy Room are most suitable for exclusivity.  For greater numbers the Function Room can accommodate up to 80 and has a small dance floor if required.

Decide on the type of catering you would like:

  • Banquet: two, three or four course.
  • Buffet
  • Fork buffet
  • Extended finger buffet
  • Light finger buffet
  • Cocktail buffet

Room hire of the Bay Restaurant or Bramwell Room includes:

  • Exclusive use of the Bramwell Room or Bay Restaurant and bar area for the event
  • The use of our square silver cake stand and silver cake knife
  • Printing of table plans, menus and place name cards
  • Master of ceremonies
  • Complimentary room with breakfast for the bride and groom for large all day & evening weddings, please enquire

Your overnight guests are given priority on a first booked basis for accommodation at the hotel at a discounted rate.  Please make enquiries for the current tariff and terms.

We are happy to provide information and advice on all aspects of the planning of your event, and are pleased to recommend outside services to assist with this, limousine hire, photographers, fireworks etc, wedding cake etc.

In house we can provide all wedding flowers, bouquets, corsage, button holes, table arrangements, outdoor decorations and helium filled balloons etc at competitive prices.

These dishes are examples.  If you have something specific in mind, our chef will be pleased to discuss them with you & price your own menu for you.  Please choose one item from each course.  Smaller parties may choose two or three dishes from each course, which must be pre-ordered and a table plan supplied with the choices for each guest.
