Penzance Christmas festivities start on Saturday 28th November with the switching on of the Christmas lights. It will be a fun day of festive entertainment for the whole family including live music, choirs, Pirate FM and Heart FM.
The lights will be switched on by the Town Mayor and special guests at the following times:
4.30pm – Wharfside Shopping Centre
4.45pm – Humphry Davy Statue/Market Jew Street
5.00pm – Causewayhead
5.20pm – Chapel Street
The town centre will be closed to traffic so people can wander around the food and craft stalls and maybe visit Santa in the afternoon. This wonderful day is organised by Penzance Town Council, Penzance Farmers Market, Causewayhead & Chapel Traders Associations and a host of community volunteers.
After enjoying the days festivities why not finish off the evening with a meal at the Hotel Penzance. The Bay restaurant offers a full brasserie menu and with the award of two AA rosettes for culinary excellence for the last 9 years, the quality of service speaks for itself.
