Forget Jamaica and Australia according to the New York Times, Penzance is the place to visit in 2017.
The New York Times has recently published ’52 Places to Go in 2017’ and ranks Penzance 14th on the list ahead of places like Australia, Madagascar, and Jamaica. This is a great accolade for the West Penwith Town and to Cornwall as a whole.
“Penzance provided a glimpse of Poldark Country” This was how Journalist and contributor to the article David Shaftel described the Cornish Town.
Also mentioned in the article was The Jubilee Pool. This was described as an Art Deco inspired pool and one of the last Saltwater Lidos in Europe. The triangular public pool was built in the 1930’s and has recently undergone a 3.73 million renovation.
