If you are unable to travel as planned and wish to postpone or cancel your booking, you may do so atleast 7 days prior to check-in. Please note that for group bookings of 5 or more rooms we operate a 7 day cancellation policy.

Our plan to keep you safe

We know everyone's safety has never been more important than it is right now, and we want to reassure you that we are taking every precaution to ensure your security and wellbeing during your stay. We have appointed a health and safety officer to assist us with our policies and procedures. Please see below the additional safety measures we have put in place...

Our small, elegant hotel with just 25 bedrooms is your space to unwind. With delicious food and stunning views, there is plenty of joy in staying in. Then again, on our doorstep we have coast, town, and countryside. Venture out at any time to explore open fields, winding coast paths, wide skies and vast seas.

We’re fortunate to already have well-spaced tables in our restaurant and an outdoor seating area.

Pre-arrival & Check-in

If either a guest or a team member is unwell or has any Covid-19 symptoms, we ask them to stay at home. On arrival, both guests and staff will be encouraged to take their temperature using a contactless thermal thermometer. Those showing any symptoms of coronavirus will be asked to return home and self-isolate.

48 hours before arrival, you will be sent a pre-check-in form, to ensure we have all the necessary information. This means that upon arrival, you will be asked to sanitise your hands and collect your key.

Contactless Payment & Check-out

We will be a cashless operation; only credit and debit cards will be accepted at this time. Check-out will be contactless. A printed room bill will be placed under your door early on the morning of your departure.

Front of House

All personnel will be required to wear face coverings in all indoor areas of the hotel, with the exception of your own room and when seated at a table.

Housekeeping

Our Housekeeping team will keep rooms well aired and fresh with a Cornish sea breeze. Each room will be deep cleaned and fully sanitised before each stay.

Hand sanitiser will be put in each bedroom and will be available throughout the hotel. All public areas will be regularly cleaned.
Linens, towels and robes will be washed on a high heat, with added sanitisation.

Our Team

Prior to returning to work, all staff will undergo extensive training to help keep everyone safe. Where appropriate, they will be provided with PPE.

All staff will have their temperature checked upon arrival every day and will be required to self-certify weekly that they have not been in contact with anyone with Covid-19 symptoms. Any staff member showing symptoms will be immediately sent home and will be required to self-isolate for 14 days.

The Garden Bar & Restaurant

Our restaurant tables and outside seating will be spaced 2m apart. Guests will be asked to pre-order their breakfast and dinner as well as book a specific time slot for service to limit the amount of guests in the restaurant at any one time.

The Garden Bar & Restaurant will be open to all guests (2 households or groups of 6 or under) for afternoon tea and dinner, pre-booking is essential, this allows us to further ensure the safety of our guests and limit the numbers dining at once.

Afternoon tea will be served from 2.30-4.30pm and dinner will be served between 6-8.45pm. Guests are not required to wear a mask when seated at a table.

We recommend all guests download the Track and Tracing App to ensure we are all alerted to anyone who may pose a risk of spreading Covid-19. Please postpone your booking if displaying any Covid-19 symptoms.

Swimming Pool

Our heated outdoor pool is open to guests. Sunbeds will also be available throughout your stay.

We look forward to welcoming you back with confidence.

Best Wishes,
The team at Hotel Penzance
