Recent figures show that traders in Penzance are currently experiencing an increased positive economy with more people visting the town and spending more money in local business.
This is welcoming news to local Penzance traders who are feeling the feelgood factor. A recent survey by Business in the Community highlighted footfall numbers were up by 3% in the first three months of 2016 while store vacancy levels were 3% less than the national average.
These increases are reflecting the principal objectives of Penzance’s Business Improvement District to increase footfall in the town centre. The chairman of Penzance BID stated that “ these figures show that the BID wich was launched in June 2015 is working.”
A local trader went on to say “We feel that initiatives by Penzance BID, the Chamber of Commerce and other platforms are having a genuine impact.”
