With the August Bank Holiday nearly upon us the Newlyn Fish Festival is one of the biggest and best of its kind in the country and one of the top south west events.
This major food event is firmly established on the national festival calendar for showcasing the local fishing industry, attracting thousands of people to see stunning displays of fish and cooking demonstrations from top local chefs.
The fish festival boosts the local economy and raises money for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen more than any other fund-raising event. These are just a few of the activities that will be taking place.

Doors open at 09:00 and close at 17:00. Admission is £5. Under 16s are free.
It all happens on August Bank Holiday Monday, in and around the harbour in Newlyn, just west of Penzance.
