The Minack Theatre

Minack Theatre

With the summer season upon us, why not pay a visit to the picturesque Minack Theatre which is situated on the West Cornwall Coast.

The world famous open air theatre stages a vast selection of performances that run from May through to September.

The Minack Theatre was built in the 1930’s by Rowena Cade who lived in the house behind the Theatre. The Rowena Cade Visitor Centre tells the remarkable story of how a Victorian girl from Cheltenham grew up to build this internationally famous Theatre with her own hands.

Performances staged at the Minack Theatre range from Shakespeare to Gilbert & Sullivan as well as modern performances. Evening performances provide an enhanced experience with the sea and the moon providing the perfect backdrop.

Visit the Minack Theatre website for full details of forthcoming performances.
